Rebecca Nhep is the Senior Technical Adviser for Better Care Network. Rebecca has 18 years of experience in international development and child protection. Her work has included a strong focus on advocacy, de-institutionalisation, family-based care and community-led development.

Rebecca also co-founded and co-chairs ReThink Orphanages Network in Australia. Prior to her role with BCN, Rebecca was the Joint CEO of ACC International (ACCI) where she founded ACCI’s child rights and de-institutionalisation program, Kinnected. Under Rebecca’s leadership, the Kinnected program supported the transition of over 65 residential care centres and the development of family-based care and community-based child and family welfare services in 12 countries.

Rebecca also spent 11 years in Cambodia where she supported the development of the country’s first formal family-based care program.

She also established an extensive network of family strengthening projects in rural communities to prevent family separation and child institutionalisation. Rebecca holds a Master’s Degree in International Development, and a Graduate Certificate in Missiology and Anthropology.

Where can I find Renew Church?
Our church street address is 2 Tarewa Road, Morningside, Whangarei, New Zealand. Find google maps directions here.

If you’re visiting from out of town to the south simply turn off State Highway 1 at signs for ‘Whangarei Town Center’ (just past tourist information center). We are 1km down the road on your left.

When does your Sunday service start/end?
Our church doors open from 9AM however our service starts at 9:30AM and typically runs till 11:15AM.

After the service you are welcome to join us for a cup of coffee.

How can I attend a mid week meeting?

Our meetings are open to the public and anyone can attend. If you would like to let us know you are coming you can do so on our ministries page by sending an email. This way you can connect with our team before arrival. Please allow us a few days notice if you want to connect before a gathering.

What denomination is Renew Church?
Renew Church is a modern pentecostal church. We are not a part of any particular church movement but we are localy run and operated. We do however associate with many other pentecostal churches nationwide.
